Greece and Bulgaria, two neighboring countries with a rich past, have since the end of the 1990s entered an era of closer cooperation, thanks to the Cross-Border Program INTERREG “Greece-Bulgaria”. The basic idea behind “INTERREG” is that countries face various issues that can be better resolved by working together with their neighbors than by remaining confined within their own borders. For this reason, the Program promotes activities that bring our peoples closer together.
