Corporate Sustainability Questionnaire in the framework of Interreg CB CARBON FREE Greece Bulgaria

The Association of Exporters – SEVE implements as lead partner to the the project entitled “Implementation of the Zero Carbon Protocol in the Food Industry” in the framework of the project “Enhancement of business branding through the development of a carbon footprint evaluation system in the cross-border area” co-funded by INTERREG V-A “Greece – Bulgaria” 2014-2020.

The project aims to develop new and/or improve existing environmentally friendly production, standardization and marketing methods, with the aim of reducing the carbon footprint at all stages of production, from the producer to the final point of sale, and to create a relevant standard.

The Corporate Scheme is composed of the following bodies:

Association of Exporters (Lead Partner – Greece)

Haskovo Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Bulgaria).

European Regional Framework for Co-operation (Greece)

In the framework of the project, SEVE, in cooperation with the contractor company Climergia Energy and Climate Investments, will identify the current level of capacity, skills and knowledge of agri-food businesses regarding their carbon footprint. Subsequently, among the actions of the project is the implementation of educational seminars and workshops on the topics such as:

Climate transition dimensions: Climate adaptation, carbon footprint reduction, business risks and opportunities.
Codification of European and national directives and funding for carbon footprint reduction.
Protocols and methodology for GHG emissions calculation.
Introduction to the basic principles of the circular economy.
Identification of ‘circular’ processes in the production and distribution of products and good practices in sustainable resource management, etc.
